Before yesterday, I used to think that sport, especially football, is one of the things that will eventually mend the breaking world. I used to think that World Cup is a kind of gathering for all of us to feel the sense of belonging in this planet that we call ours; you know, I used to think that the session is for all of us to stand together and speak with one voice, the voice of football. But I have come to realize that the hiding meaning of FIFA is Football Is not For Africa. What do you call it when innocent souls died in Plateau State of Nigeria few hours before fate-determined football match between Nigeria and Argentina. As if the taken-away souls weren't part of us, no minute of silence, to black band to pay them tribute. Factually, most of them were poor before they were denied of living but if what UNICEF claims to be is real, then where were their proves?
I told myself before the beginning of this tournament that World Cup is better than World War. But now it has dawned on me that Football Is not For Africa. If what happened in Nigeria had happened in England, even the blind would have seen it in FIFA's eyes. FIFA wouldn't have been blind and deaf if this had happened to United State of America or any of the FIFA favorite countries.
Anyway, FIFA is not to be blamed. If not the unlucky chance that made a mentally crippled man the president of the great nation. A president whose motto is "I Don't Know." No prove is needed to testify that the president of the nation sees reason in saving cattle instead protecting the lives and properties of the citizens. Where is sense in the man who seek green field for cattle and dig graves for his fellow men. Who will convince me to believe that Muhammadu Buhari is not an agent of genocide and holocaust. If animal's right has got a page in the book of Nigerian Constitution, shouldn't Nigerians be told? If wouldn't be a mistake if anyone says
Muhammadu Buhari is a king of animals who is restlessly defending the interest of his followers (animals) by fighting human being (just the way wild animals do).
Why was Olufela Anikulapo the only one who could see and reasoned in his time? Did God send him the lyrics and the rhythm of that song "Beast of No Nation"? Buhari is proving the righteous of the song, UNO is testifying to it and FIFA is dancing to its beat, even after many years of the song.
