Real Madrid lost to Juventus at the Bernabeu tonight but managed to go through on aggregate courtesy of Cristiano Ronaldo's late winner.
Their defeat came just 24 hours after fierce rivals Barcelona saw their European adventure ended by Roma.
And Manchester United fans should rejoice at the fact two big decisions were proven right tonight.
The first, is that United must be thanking their lucky stars they did not sign Gareth Bale last summer.
Surely, the Wales international will leave Los Blancos. That, after tonight, looks obvious.
Bale was awful for Real Madrid against Juventus, even if their capitulation was not his fault. The fact he was hooked at half-time looks ominous and telling.
